02/06/2012 - Dark Spy / New single
The Alternate Version of "2011" will appear on Dark Spy Compilation 40. Also,
there'll be an article about Taxim in the magazine.
Dark Spy is another well known German music magazine and because it's German, the
print version is only available in Germany.. Unfortunately. Anyway, issue 46 is the one
you Germans should buy (to be released early March).
Today is the 6th of February, release date for the single "Immer rein, wenn's kein
Schneider ist". However, I was ill for some time, so we couldn't do the final
recording of the song yet. We'll try to do it very soon. Those of you who
really want to know what the song sounds like may find a snippet somewhere..
By the way, another review of "2011" is online now at
Radio Gates of Doom. Thanks, DJ Chaoskatze.
01/29/2012 - The band returns / Destroy all Humans
And here's the 5 dollar question (no, it's not worth more): Do you remember the lady in the photo
to the left? Right, it's Frau Schön, a member of the 3 man band Taxim. If you thought we
wouldn't do it anymore, you were terribly wrong. Yes, the band Taxim will return on the 6th of
February, with their new single "Immer rein, wenn's kein Schneider ist". You don't speak
German? That's too bad. Anyway, be prepared for some extraordinary electro punk stuff. Like "2011",
this single will be available for FREE.
And recently, Dan X of MDX Project made a little video for my remix of "Destroy all Humans",
so you can pre-listen to the track. You can watch it
here.
01/19/2012 - Orkus / Remix
I admit I never thought I'd post a picture of Orkus magazine here, but yeah.. There it is. So what
happened? Well, I made a track called "2011" and I was asked if I'd like to see it on an
Orkus Compilation. Apparently I liked the idea, because the track will appear on Orkus Compilation
77, which will be released in March. This alone should be a reason for you to buy the March issue. ;)
Depending on the readers' feedback, I might be interviewed as well. (Ok, let's forget about
the interview.)
Now about the remix for MDX-Project: I recently finished it. I remixed the track "Destroy all
Humans" (yeah, let's destroy them all) and it will appear on "Destroy all Humans"
MCD, to be released shortly. In case you wanna know what it sounds like, watch the website of
Planet X Records.
01/06/2012 - So many news
Ok, first off, the first review of "2011" is online now at
Chain D.L.K., a popular US based webzine. It got 4 out of 5 stars; needless to say I'm very
satisfied with that. More reviews on the way. Last week, "2011" entered the listeners
charts of Radio Dark Dimensions at #7, this week it climbed up to #3. Thanks to all voters. If you
feel like voting, you still can do it
here.
And now for something totally different: I found a model for Taxim (yes, a female, of course).
Her name is Jigels and not only will you see her on Taxim related artworks, but also in future
videos. Go to the gallery to see the first 2 taximized photos of her. You like them? Ha! I knew it.
12/27/2011 - 2011 / Monitoring artwork / Remix
"2011" was released 10 days ago and it already got some airplay. Also, the track is
charting on several music sites, where Taxim never has charted before and the feedback was just great
so far. However, many radio stations or DJ's obviously weren't too fond of it, but what to expect
of nowaday's so called dark radios. I'm sure "2011" probably was too hard and dark for
them. ;)
Into other news, I recently got the artwork for "Monitoring" and it really really wow'd
me. It's the best artwork ever used for a Taxim CD, that's for sure. Great job, Melinda Kónya!
No, I won't show it off now, sorry; you'll have to wait until "Monitoring" will be
released.
Other than that, I currently work on a remix for
MDX Project.
12/17/2011 - Single & video "2011"
The new single "2011" has been released. As mentioned before, it's available for free
download at
Ultra Dark Radio. Also, a video to "2011" has been released. You can watch it
here.
Musically, 2011 was a great year for Taxim and I'd like to say thanks to all fans, supporters and
partners. If you care about christmas, have a great one. And let's hope I won't have to make a
track called "2012".
12/12/2011 - New FREE single: "2011"
I've got a special christmas present for you: a brandnew FREE single called "2011" will be
released shortly. 2011 was an eventful and inspiring year, so I just had to do the soundtrack to
it. Expect an extremely powerful and dark Taxim track.
Just like the "Clouds Over Moscow" single, "2011" contains a single version (which will also be on
"Monitoring") and an alternate version without samples. "2011" will be available for download at
Ultra Dark Radio. Artwork was done by "Monitoring" cover artist
Melinda Kónya. Go to the gallery to view it in full size.
11/12/2011 - Melinda Kónya
So the final cover artist for "Monitoring" has been found: Melinda Kónya is a very
talented artist from Hungary. She preferably paints in oil, which is just perfect, as I always
wanted an oil painting to be the front cover of "Monitoring".
Just like my music, her art is inspired by the negative things in life, which makes it look
painful ( ;) ) and also pretty abstract. Melinda already started working on the front cover. Until
it's finished, I suggest you check her art out:

10/28/2011 - Monitoring Teaser released
Wanna know what the new album sounds like? Well, here's your chance! A teaser for "Monitoring"
has been released. It introduces 3 tracks: "500 Stufen", "Pain Remains" and
"Tringa Solitaria". In it you can see me sitting in a chair in the middle of a road, so
it's a must watch. Enjoy, and feel free to leave me some feedback.
Click here to watch the teaser!
09/27/2011 - New homepage / Album
Today the ninth version of the Taxim homepage went online. "A new homepage again? Why?",
you may ask. Well, it was about time that I'd create a homepage that is optimised for high screen
resolutions, or are you still running 1024x768? See? Even I have to say it looks so much better
at 1280x1024 or whatever.
Anyway, I got some good news on "Monitoring". Those who want my music on CD will be
pleased to read the following: "Monitoring" will be released on a label and not only
will it be available for digital download, but also on CD. The CD artwork will be done by an
Ukrainian concept artist (no, the fist one is not the final one) and I'm sure it'll turn out great.
I know her work and she's very talented. Ok, and last but not least, a new interview has been
posted! However, it's available in German only.. Sorry.
08/31/2011 - Album / Heroes & Cowards
And here's a news that, first of all, is interesting for you C64 fans: the album "Monitoring"
will also contain a synth version of one of my most popular C64 tunes. Of course you'd like to know
which one, but I won't tell you now; you'll have to wait for the first album teaser. C64? No
worries, maybe for the first time even non-C64 freaks may sigh with relief, as it's not an annoying
track. Quite the opposite.
Other than than, I currently work on some music for C64 Byteriders adventure "Heroes & Cowards",
which is made ready for release by the game developer group
Out Of Order. Yes, many people haven been waiting for this game a quite long time, but
now the wait is almost over. Along with H&C, OOO's "D42 Adventure System" will be released
soon.
07/12/2011 - Video / site updates
Recently, we finished work on the video to "Tringa Solitaria". There's already a
screenshot of it on the net; you can see it on Taxim's Facebook page, for instance. I might change
some things on the video before it'll be officially released, as I got some good tips from a
director.
Into other news: yesterday I set up a new YouTube channel for Taxim.
Click here to view it. I made the former one my personal channel, so please subscribe
to the new one.
Also, I remade the
Facebook page for Taxim. (Oh well, at least the one I administrate.) It was about time
that I add some music to the page, wasn't it? I'm still not done with it, though.
06/28/2011 - Tringa Solitaria
First track of the upcoming album, "Tringa Solitaria", has been finished. I plan on
making a very sophisticated video for it; in the end there'll be 2 or 3 videos for "Monitoring"
(just like always). 3 more tracks ("Level III", "White Invader", "2011")
will be finished shortly, so the first (and maybe final) album trailer should appear on the net
in a couple of months.
05/28/2011 - HP updated / soundtrack
As you might guess it from the new index page, the seperate page for the band Taxim went offline.
The reason is simple: laziness. The songs and videos of the band went here again and very soon there'll
be a little extra page for it; including a bio, pics and release infos.
Other than that, I'm making good progress on my new album "Monitoring", which will contain
12 f***ing serious tracks again. However, besides I have to work on a soundtrack. It's a pretty
extreme (short) horror film that'll be shown at a festival here in Germany. After that, it most
probably will appear on the internet. The director wants a sick soundtrack and I'm planning on
making a mixture between industrial sound collages and traditional (but alienated) film music.
03/15/2011 - Clouds Over Moscow 2011
Because I didn't feel satisfied with the "Clouds Over Moscow" video, I decided
to remake it. Now the resolution is higher (640x480) and I used many new (guess what: also coloured)
sequences. I suggest you check it out; to do so, go to video section. Btw, there might be a
new video by the BAND Taxim soon. Also, new songs are in the making.
Stay tuned.
