Taxim is the work of Alex Ney and M.R. from Germany. Ney, mastermind behind the project, started his musical career in the 80s with Commodore 64 music. In 1997, he founded Taxim, originally an electro-industrial project. M.R., the female lead singer, used to be a famous singer-songwriter in the 70s. Ney reproduced some of her songs and shortly after that she joined Taxim in 2007. Taxim's first mentionable success was their US debut album "Ecclesiophobia" (2006) which stood out for electro-industrial tracks that are noticeable faster than usual in this genre. Since the release of their EP "Psychologenfutter" (German for "fodder for psychologists") in 2008, Taxim's music can be considered as dark techno.
